(Running Debian Sid)
Hi, I read about the CUPS 1.2 - KDE incompatibility at
http://www.cups.org/str.php?L1527+P0+S-1+C0+I0+E0+QKDE
and also http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129707 which lead me to
believe that I could still print from KDE with CUPS 1.2.1-3 simply by
creating the printer in KDE.
However, either as a regular user or administrator I have been unable to
create a "test" printer or real printer (just reported as Bug#379216).
Running
strace kcmshell printers
and repeating the same action doesn't reveal too much beyond:
access("/usr/share/locale/en_GB/cups_en_GB.po", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No
such file or directory)
access("/usr/share/locale/en/cups_en.po", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such
file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/C/cups_C.po", O_RDONLY|O_LARGEFILE) = -1 ENOENT
(No such file or directory)
Has anyone any suggestions on figuring out what is going on?
Arthur.
