In my OP I mentioned That I had problem with bootsplash, hence I wanted splashy. Finally I got bootsplash working thanks Jon Ferguson I could make it work. However progress bar is not working as sysv-rc-bootsplash in unstable gives error while configuring. If anybody is having working sysv-rc-bootsplash for debian sid kindly mail me privately.
