Does anybody know the correct procedure for eliminating this daemon from booting? Should I be using update-rc.d or do I have to manually edit config files?
I use "sysv-rc-conf" to edit runlevels (there are also other tools that do the same), but the best solution is, of course, to uninstall the daemons you do not need.
