Hold on there, Antgel- Not to get too indignant, but in my defense I did
do a google search on the DWL-G510 and found that people had success
getting the card to work with Linux, and the pointers I found indicated
madwifi. I did not see that there were absolutely no drivers for Linux.
As a matter of fact, I didn't know that you could get such a card to
work in Linux without Linux drivers! So I guess I didn't read what
google yielded very effectively.

I'm afraid that I'm unfamiliar with ndiswrapper and apologize for my
ignorance. I'll start Googling and reading man pages. It's good to know
that there's a way to get this card to work even without Linux support.

Thank you for the reply, and please let me know if you have any other
suggestions.

Thanks again,

Ed

Wifi is not the same as Ethernet, so you aren't looking in the correct
section of the config. Not withstanding that, a two-minute google
search on "Linux DWL-G510" reveals that there are no Linux drivers, but
you can use the Windows drivers with ndiswrapper.

I don't know why people don't google before posting.
