I've got a couple of programs I'd like to install on my Debian Sarge system that are only available in source code. There is no .dsc file for download. I'd like to install the software via APT/Synaptic. Is there a way I can generate a .dsc file for the source code? What exaclty is a .dsc file, and why is it needed?
