Ok, did that, but my dmesg shows this: <snip> ide_setup: ide0=ata66 <snip> VP_IDE: chipset revision 6 VP_IDE: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later VP_IDE: Unknown VIA SouthBridge, contact Vojtech Pavlik <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> VP_IDE: ATA-66/100 forced bit set (WARNING)!! So it finds an unknown via southbridge... maybe this is the problem ? Anyway, I still can't enable dma with hdparm...
