(Baloo - I tried to reply to you privately but the mail bounced) I hope you don't mind this question, but do you know if xmms supports marking start/end points and writing out just that section? I looked but couldn't see such a feature, so I starting testing "audacity". It does the job, but is tedious to find the start/end points (15 minutes of an hour-long radio program).
