Could be a permissions issue. Did you install 4.79 into /usr/local as root and then install the java plugin into the /netscape/plugins directory also as root? Then, when you run netscape as a user it ought to work. I used to do this with mozilla until it got added into woody and it worked for me. Although I'd have to re-install the jave plugin each time I upgraded mozilla because if I just copied the plugins directory over to the new mozilla install, it didn't work. hope this helps, jc -- Jeff Coppock Systems Engineer Diggin' Debian Admin and User
