Currently in /etc/X11/XF86Config you have a series of entries along the lines of:
Section "Screen" Driver "svga" Device "Generic VGA" Monitor "1" Subsection "Display" Depth 8 ViewPort 0 0 Virtual 320 200 EndSubsection EndSection Note the Vitrual keyword. Go through the document and remove the entire virtual line and restart X. Hope that helps.
