PPTP-Linux

Hi     I have installed the PPTP-linux package and am not sure how to configure it from there. I have a Alcatel Apeed Touch Pro ADSL router which you can use PPTP to connect to the internet though it, it works fine with windows, but i would like to use it with debian. How do i configure the PPTP-linux package? Is it possible to have it so that if the connection is dropped it will will connect?   Thankyou   Charlie
