You're right that using gdb in its commandline form is not ideal for debugging C++ code. Using it with DDD or GVD is fine though. Do you know of any other debuggers? Mainly by "the debugger" I meant that it is there and I haven't heard of any others, aside from MS or Sun commercial and platform-dependent tools. -D
