It really depends on your particular system's configuration.  I've got
good eyes, but my preferred font (Garamond) reads best at 12-14 points
as my display(s) are configured.

...which again calls for:  the user should be able to specify font size,
to whatever arbitrary extent possible and override *all* website
directives in this regard.  To this extent, the CSS spec is severely
flawed in that it grants precedence to website author, not reader.  This
is bass ackwards.
