I've got the SN41G2 case (nforce2 based, dual monitor connections, with
1 AGP and 1 PCI) and I don't know what you're talking about as far as
noise or extra fan.  There is one fan in the unit.  That is on the I.C.E
heat pipe's grill, which can be seen here:

However, the system I have has a variable speed fan and the unit is very
quiet.
