Is the following true when it comes to using mkisofs? It comes from U. of Rochester online help. If it is true, does it mean that burning a backup CD w/ Rock Ridge attributes that mirrors my hard-drive is not possible? I'd prefer to have a back-up CD that stores files just as they appear on the hard-drive, rather than burn a tar archive which would avoid "same name" error.
"The Rock Ridge and Joliet extensions, used to permit non-UNIX OS to read the CDs you produce, can be confused by similar names. You may see messages like" "mkisofs error: src/lib/FOO and oldsrc/lib.old/FOO have the same Rock Ridge name" "mkisofs: Unable to sort directory." "The only corrective action at this point is to rename one of the files (and hope that this doesn't cause you problems later...). E.g., in this case you might choose to rename the second file oldsrc/lib.old/FOO.OLD." -- http://www.seas.rochester.edu:8080/CNG/docs/cd-notes.html
