Found the following post, I'd already disabled SpeedStep (AKA geyserville) on the box. So far, it's been relatively stable over the past three hours -- which is a pretty good run in recent days. http://www.linuxarkivet.nu/mlists/linux-kernel/0102/msg04873.html I'd also forgotten that I'd inserted a PCMCIA card into the system, intending to work out some configuration issues.
