i bet the flash bios you get is pre-release alpha/beta
that is NOT available on the real FastTrack raid controllers ??
or its the older version compared to the fasttrack ??
- they're probably keeping track of who downloaded it
and who sends in problems/bug reports and check for
correlation and validity of the bugs before releasing
the new flash bios in their raid controllers
- fun to speculate anyway
dont matter...i wouldn't do it for the cost savings...
compared to potential headaches when the managers or clients
find out that the ide raid controller they got were kludged
and stuff...
if for myself.... i play with anything and everything if time
permits .... but... need to eek a living sometimes too
