Hi, I have had some trouble too regarding the rescue floppy's. If you are installing from CD, you might try to write the rescue image on floppy and during installation make Linux read it back from the floppy again. I guess there is some error in the installation program.
The images are located in: dists/stable/main/disks-i386/images-1.44/rescue.img as far as I can remember. You can write it to a floppy using rawrite in dos (located somewhere on the installation cd). Hope that helps, Sebastiaan On Sat, 17 Mar 2001, Enzo wrote: > I'm a beginner user of Linux and I've a problem during the installation of Debian 2.2r2. In fact I can't install Kernel and Modules because the program warn me that is impossible to create a Rescue Floppy or to load some drivers. How can I solve this problem? If the problem is the installation from CDs, how can I install from another source? > Please, help me because I've no idea about Linux installation. > Thank you very much! > Gabriele (from Italy) >
