as others already pointed out: DON'T DO THAT! Undo this as quick as possible. As root edit /etc/group, look for the line starting with "user1:" and remove ",disk" from that line. Then make cdrom accessible to group cdrom with "chgrp cdrom /dev/hdc". Still as root do "adduser user1 audio" and "adduser user1 cdrom" and then have user1 login afresh. -- groetjes, carel
