Regarding the problems I'm having with getting sound to work, I found
a clue. Now if I only knew what it meant!

This is what syslog says after attempting to modprobe to load the
sound modules:

Nov 18 03:07:16 geldar modprobe: Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than
/lib/modules/2.2.17/modules.dep
Nov 18 03:07:16 geldar modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-slot-0
Nov 18 03:07:16 geldar modprobe: Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than
/lib/modules/2.2.17/modules.dep
Nov 18 03:07:16 geldar modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0-6
Nov 18 03:07:28 geldar kernel: Soundblaster audio driver Copyright (C) by Hannu
Savolainen 1993-1996
Nov 18 03:07:28 geldar kernel: SB 4.16 detected OK (220)

Does anyone know what the missing modules are and what they do, and
most importantly, how I can provide them to modprobe?
