getting xdm etc to run under Woody

Apparently I did not provide the correct parameters when installing Woody so x does not start up

I’ve visited Google, nvidia, and the Debian web sites but after wading through a fair amount of material I can’t find the appropriate settings

The Window XP device driver list says I have a GeForce 256 installed

I had understood that Woody provided support for this hardware
