I've got an HP LJIII here. As I remember the II and the III are very similar, so hopefully this'll help. I'm using magicfilter and have the LJIII working perfectly. I used magicfilterconfig to set up my printcap. So my first suggestion would be dump the printtool - them RedHat GUI config tools have never worked worth a damn. Then I'd say remove apsfilter and install magicfilter - I seem to remember trying apsfilter first, and never could get it to work. I can't guarantee that magicfilter will work with an LJII, but it works very nicely here with an LJIII. Should be at least worth trying. -- Mike Werner KA8YSD | "Where do you want to go today?" | "As far from Redmond as possible!" '91 GS500E | Morgantown WV | Only dead fish go with the flow.
