I haven't noticed any issues, but I don't make huge usage of here documents, and I tend towards non-standard bracketing for regexps, which means I do explict 'm's for matching. Those two factors might explain why I think it's satisfactory. OTOH, IIRC, there is a setting for how 'robust' the syntax parser tries to be; it's a time/speed tradeoff. I _think_ the default may be less than completely stringent.
