Here's what dmesg says about my scsi chain. I have 2 hds, 1 dvd drive, and a burner on it. The burner works great when I mount it as a cd-rom drive. No apparant problems at all. The SCSI card is on ID 7, but the ID of the device shouldn't matter should it? As long as it's not the same ID as another device on the chain. None of the other devices have any problems, just the burner causes the SCSI bus to reset.
