First: what control scripts are you thinking of? /etc/init.d/rc is responsible for runlevel initialization scripts. The glob pattern is: /etc/rc$runlevel.d/K[0-9][0-9]* /etc/rc$runlevel.d/S* ...which appears safe. Second: globbing starts at the beginning of the filename -- this is shell globbing, not regexp pattern matching. "*[SK][0-9]*" would match a leading "_" (or any other string), "[SK][0-9]*" would not. -- Karsten M.
