Hi there, I'm trying to dial in to my ISP but whatever I try nothing seems to work. I'm using the pon script, pap-authentification, and here is a typical logfile:
Apr 24 14:23:11 Jarlsberg pppd[334]: pppd 2.3.5 started by root, uid 0 Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: abort on (BUSY) Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: abort on (NO CARRIER) Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: abort on (VOICE) Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: abort on (NO DIALTONE) Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: abort on (NO ANSWER) Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: send (ATZ^M) Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: expect (OK) Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: ATZ^M^M Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: OK Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: -- got it Apr 24 14:23:12 Jarlsberg chat[335]: send (ATDT900902030^M) Apr 24 14:23:13 Jarlsberg chat[335]: expect (CONNECT) Apr 24 14:23:13 Jarlsberg chat[335]: ^M Apr 24 14:23:34 Jarlsberg chat[335]: ATDT900902030^M Apr 24 14:23:34 Jarlsberg chat[335]: CONNECT Apr 24 14:23:34 Jarlsberg chat[335]: -- got it Apr 24 14:23:34 Jarlsberg chat[335]: send (\d) Apr 24 14:23:35 Jarlsberg pppd[334]: Serial connection established. Apr 24 14:24:07 Jarlsberg pppd[334]: Exit. That is, the server seems to just sit there doing nothing. I've tried to go through the PPP-Howto and the PPP Faq, but nothing works. Tried using both "auth" "noauth" and nothing in the optionsfile. Has anybody any idea what might be going on? regards, Gudmundur __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
