Type lilo as root. You probably want to read the dual-boot howtos on how to keep Windows bootable as well using LILO. http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Linux+Windows-HOWTO/index.html Linux+Windows HOWTO http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/mini/Linux+NT-Loader.html Linux+NT Loader mini-HOWTO http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/mini/Linux+Win95/index.html Linux+Win95 mini-HOWTO http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/mini/Linux+WinNT.html Linux+Win95-98-ME mini-HOWTO http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/mini/Multiboot-with-LILO.html Multiboot with LILO mini-HOWTO > As the system crash was not planned i have no floppy with my custom kernel > etc. The only thing i have is the Debian 3.0r0 CD set. Use the installer to "Make the system bootable" then check out the howtos to decide on a best possible method. A good idea in general is to go browse http://www.tldp.org/ (The Linux Documentation Project) before asking, frequently asked questions that aren't specific to any distro are usually answered here. -- .''`.
