on top of that I'd reccomend remounting all filesystems read-only. that can really improve the time available during a disk failure in my experience. also turn off swap, so no disk writes can occur until you've backed up all the data that you want(or are capable of backing up) nate -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
