There are some motherboards that has buggy BIOS'. Meaning that the kernel
might crash with APM enabled. I have seen this with the Aopen AXPRO and a lot
of different labtops. If you want APM you will have to make your own kernel
but do remember not to make the APM-enabled kernel your default kernel...
