Re: make-kpkg and 2.2.12

make (menu)config
make-kpkg clean
make-kpkg --revision=custom.1.0 kernel_image
dpkg -i ../kernel-image-2.2.12_custom.1.0_<arch>.deb

These four steps work fine for me (though I'm still using 2.2.10).
