I read them and added the recommended lines to my /etc/modules.conf file and *now* I have sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that I've been as far as I've been last night in setting up sound, but I never did this last step. To think that I did all that reading and stuff and to fail for not putting in a couple of lines in my /etc/modules.conf! :) I just had a midi problem, but I think I entered the wrong value.
