I haven't seen a reply to this, so even though I'm not a reliable source, I'll mention this: in earlier versions at least (up to 2.0.34 at least), you sometimes needed to run the Configure option several times in order for the dependencies to iron themselves out (x needs y which needx z which needs x). Beyond that I'm afraid I'm not much help.
