I also read the same thing but I have not seen any program that reacts badly to it. The other option is to use the SVGA drivers but then I did not want to reconfigure the monster X.

My problem is I was trying to write a proposal and I could not do references and citations that are so easy in latex. I was thinking the manual could help. I learnt a little bit by using MS Office manual but I thought their manual might be more useful. I like the Word processor. I never played with their presentation, email and Web stuff. For that I find my usual tools (idraw (sometimes xfig), pine and mutt + netscape ) more than sufficient. By the way I ended up writing the proposal using latex. /------------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Daniel J.
