Why don't you use list? Eg. \begin{description} \item[University Courses:] \\ \begin{description} \item[First Year] \\ \begin{itemize} \item Computing 1A (Functional Programming) \item ... \end{itemize} \end{description} \item[Work Experience:] ... \item[at..............] ... \item[at..............] ... \end{description}
