I'm trying to install Perl onto a new system. "apt-get install perl" won't work because perl-base is required and a conflict arises. That is, "apt-get install perl-base" says the latest version is already installed, but this appears to be version 5.6.1-7, and "apt-get install perl" wants version 5.6.1-8.
Could this be related to having Debian security in my sources.list? I see from the debian-changes list that 5.6.1-8 was accepted in November. But the distribution is "testing-security". How is that different from simply "testing"? Thanks. Mark -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
