I a very shortly going to be building the following linux box:

AMD K6-III 450 mhz
FIC-PA-2013 MB w/!28 meg PC100 SDRAM

I do alot of work with TeX/LaTeX

and the GIMP

I want to buy the best video card I can for 175 dollars or less;

I was thinking about the Matrox Millenium or Mystique
until everybody starting telling me to check out the Nvidia Riva TNT based
cards. --but now I have read some threads saying that there is no OpenGL
support for them.

Can somone straighten me out on this????

I would really appreciate some ideas, info , insight , and suggestions as to
which card to buy?

Also, a question
This is going to be my linux box to end all linux boxes x86 wise
if you could afford it would get the k6-III 450 or P-II 450 and the abit bx
chipset based MB?

or a celeron?

The only reason why I am really thinking about the AMD k6-III 450mhz is
because I already have the FIC PA-2013 mb

BTW
ARe there any hardcore TeX/LaTeX hackers and gimp users out there using
debian w/WindowMaker?

Once Again the debian user community rocks
