I just loaded Debian linux yesterday and I an haveing a lots of problems. 1) I loaded the Debian CD from a dos boot floppy so I can get it to bring up the CD Driver. Then I loaded the CD, but I did not load the CD driver somehow into the Kernel. So when I tried to bring the CD back up to load the rest of the packages I do not think linux reconizes it, because it would not mount. Does anyone know of any particular driver I have to load so I can get linux to see my CD ROM . The type of CD ROM I have is GoldStar CRD-8241B.
2) How do I go about loading the rest of the packages? Please Help Thank Scarvel Harris
