boot = /dev/hda root = /dev/hdb2 install = /boot/boot.b map = /boot/map vga = normal delay = 50 ramdisk = 0 read-only default = linux image = /vmlinuz label = Debian alias = linux image = /boot/vmlinbackup label = backup other = /dev/hda1 label = MS table = /dev/hda Now, translating this: hda is my C drive, which contains Win95 on it. hdb is D drive with Linux on it. hdb2 is where my / is.
