Well, ok ... The thing is, I doubt we'd ever place a support call. The other sysadmin and myself don't know everything, but we do know how to rtfm and use search engines. We also are more than pleased by the level of support found on this list and elsewhere. However ... my boss wants to have "someone we can call for support when it doesn't work". This person, persons, or company would preferably have some sort of documentation as to who they are and why we ought to pay them when we call them. (Not that we ever would, mind you). I hope this makes sense. I want to use Debian. I'm comfortable with it. The boss is comfortable with contracted tech support (he grew up in the IBM world). So, to use Debian, I need support. That's corporate thinking. -- Nathan Norman MidcoNet - 410 South Phillips Avenue - Sioux Falls, SD 57104 phone: (605) 334-4454 fax: (605) 335-1173 mailto://[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.midco.net PGP Key ID: 0xA33B86E9 - Public key available at keyservers PGP Key fingerprint: CE03 10AF 3281 1858 9D32 C2AB 936D C472 -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
