his device did not exist on my machine, so I did this to get it:

cd /dev
./MAKEDEV sr0

ls -l /dev/sr0
br--r--r--   1 root     cdrom     11,   0 Jul 24 13:21 /dev/sr0

Maybe try rebuilding the device?  I notice yours is different.
