I just checked my /etc/fstab file (which I should have done earlier) and see that the line relevant to the dvd is: /dev/dvd /dvd iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noauto,exec 0 0 I assume that dvds are not iso9660 format, and that may be why I can't cp them. If so, does anyone know what I should have in my /etc/fstab file? Thanks, Ric
