I can't be sure that 2.0.24 was the cause, but maelstrom won't run right now because it claims that it cannot allocate 'X shared memory' or some such thing. Lately, I upgraded many things including libc5 and 2.0.6 -> 2.0.24 before I noticed this. Anyway, when I can spare a few hours of modem time, I'll be getting the 2.0.23 sources to compare.
