ok, so how come I was using mozilla email client since 2001/10/27 and
saving emails, moving to trash, saving drafts etc.? that qualifies as
past few years, right? BTW that's only with cyrus server (my current
setup), I was briefly using uw-imap before that and it worked even then
(otherwise I'd never switch to imap).
Chances are your standards and mine differ. I just recall that during
that time I did give Netscape a try and found it lacking. However given that
it was several years ago an an evaluation that lasted all of a day or so I
cannot recall the specifics. On that it did not meet the requirements that I
felt a good IMAP client should. It might have been, for example, that I was
unable to keep work and home mail seperate. IE, separate sent-mail folders
for each account. *shrug* As I said (and mistakenly left out the qualifier
"in my strongly worded opinion") no client (and the qualifier "that I have
personally tried") until Thunderbird fit the bill. Some got close but none
did it right (and the qualifier "as I see it").
