Thanks. That helped. Turns out the hal was setting the key storage.automount_enabled_hint == false for my ide-cd and dvd, so g-v-m was not doing anything with either. I would like if I could eject the cd with the button, and have gvm unmount; do you think it's possible? Now I just have to figure out my usb memory stick. g-v-m reports: manager.c/818: New Device: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_3606_168_100_-1_0000000000037E libhal.c 911 : Error sending msg: No property info.capabilities on device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_3606_168_100_-1_0000000000037E libhal.c 911 : Error sending msg: No property info.capabilities on device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_3606_168_100_-1_0000000000037E manager.c/818: New Device: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_usb_device_3606_168_100_-1_0000000000037E_0 libhal.c 911 : Error sending msg: No property info.capabilities on device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_usb_device_3606_168_100_-1_0000000000037E_0 libhal.c 911 : Error sending msg: No property info.capabilities on device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_usb_device_3606_168_100_-1_0000000000037E_0 manager.c/818: New Device: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/scsi_host_4 manager.c/818: New Device: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/scsi_4_0_0_0 libhal.c 911 : Error sending msg: No property info.capabilities on device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/scsi_4_0_0_0 libhal.c 911 : Error sending msg: No property info.capabilities on device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/scsi_4_0_0_0 manager.c/818: New Device: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/block_8_0 I'm not sure how to fix this one.
