Hi Debian!
I posted earlier http://groups.google.com/groups?q=fbxine+group:linux.debian.user&hl=en&lr=&scoring=d&selm=2VxCv-5jm-9%40gated-at.bofh.it&rnum=2 an attempt to run fbxine: OSS sound would quit after a few minutes.
Trying mplayer like this: mplayer -vo fbdev -vm -fbmode 1024×768-60 The_Pianist.divx.avi does play fullscreen, but the actual video is not fullscreen.
So I tried fbxine again: fbxine The_Pianist.divx.avi plays fullscreen, actual video too and sound does not quit!
Same system! What happened? No upgrade either!
Anybody knows how mplayer will fill the screen with the video with its million options?
With DGA or XV or DGA via SDL, it depends on the backends supported ("mplayer -vo help" to have a list). If present, you can try with "mplayer -fs -vo sdl something_playable" to start immediately full screen, or without the -fs switch, using the "f" or "c" hotkey to go full screen...
No such luck. I want to use fbdev but fullscreen, so that the video fills the screen. fbxine does that immediately, mplayer fills the whole screen but the video sits in a window in the center of the screen.
