Hi,
I recently tried to apt-get install sysv-rc-conf, since rcconf seems to have dropped off the repos, and got this:
Unpacking sysv-rc (from .../sysv-rc_2.86-5_all.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/sysv-rc_2.86-5_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/etc/init.d/rc', which is also in package sysvinit
Does sysv-rc replace sysvinit or something? Is it safe to overwrite this file with the version distributed by sysv-rc, or is this a temporary fix?
thanks, Greg
