Could you be more precise? What is renamed, what is forked, what is cloned?
Start of the cycle:
Unstable forks a new testing. Testing freezes, frozen replaces testing. Frozen then replaces existing stable, which moves to the obsolete archive.
The 'new' testing will be a fork of stable[which in turn is derived from the 'old' testing], not unstable...
