Hi people, I having problems with the new module 8139too for the Realtek 8139 Ethernet card.
I compiled a new kernel (2.4.27-rc4), with support to pci and suport for this realtek card as a module. When a i give modprobe 8139too, it returns a long error list, so i tryed the command insmod 8139too, it returns the same error, but in a better way to understand, so i pasted it: luciana:/lib/modules/2.4.27-rc4/kernel/drivers/net# insmod 8139too.o 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_read_config_word_R923654cb 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_register_driver_R1e536d21 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_set_power_state_R11eecaa6 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_read_config_byte_R3ccefab4 8139too.o: unresolved symbol mii_ethtool_gset_Red2a39b8 8139too.o: unresolved symbol generic_mii_ioctl_Rb018540f 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_set_master_R99cc7ae2 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_enable_device_R1bc741d2 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_save_state_R62eca146 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_unregister_driver_Re8061e13 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_release_regions_R32f6b833 8139too.o: unresolved symbol mii_link_ok_Rf2a98b27 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_restore_state_R1fb877c8 8139too.o: unresolved symbol mii_ethtool_sset_Rcdeb32c2 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_write_config_word_Rf23d8795 8139too.o: unresolved symbol mii_nway_restart_R2738b721 8139too.o: unresolved symbol pci_request_regions_R01186146 8139too.o: unresolved symbol mii_check_media_Rc9deb2b2 I really do know what i have to do, i always thinked about the kernel resolved the modules dependencies... So.. if someone know how to correct it, will be very cool!
