Running 2.6.3-2 and would like to move to 2.6.6. Am I correct that if I want to pull my old config options into the new kernel I do a "make oldconfig" from the new kernel source dir, or should I manually select the options from running "make xconfig".

I always do
$ cd /usr/src/linux-<version> $ cp /boot/config-<version> .config $ make oldconfig
