That's on par with the avahi-daemon's idea of how things should happen, and it makes sense. Not that I'd want that active in my LAN anyway. If you don't want services to start before you have manually verified them, even if you install a package (by accident or whatever), then write an appropriate policy-rc.d (see /usr/share/doc/sysv-rc/README.policy-rc.d) to do just that. -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
