It definitely sounds like something in your setup is suffixing your DNS
requests with ".com" or ".net". Try ending the hostnames you're trying to
access with "."; that ought to work around it.
E.g. instead of "http://www.jeneparlezpas.fr/foo.html"; use
        "http://www.jeneparlezpas.fr./foo.html";
                                    ^
